Supporting the memorial
The Royal British Legion have offered their support to the memorial. Here is what they say:
'As custodians of National Remembrance the Royal British Legion applauds your Committee's initiative as it serves to honour those many British Servicemen and Women and civilians who lost their lives in the Cyprus Emergency. It is particularly important that we do not forget those who served, died and are buried in overseas cemeteries, such as Wayne's Keep, where access has become difficult through the consequences of history ... You can count on the Legion for moral support'
You can now give YOUR SUPPORT by registering your name and details with one of the three linked associations — Military Veterans, Family, or Friend — by clicking on the relevant link below and not least by making a donation to the £200,000 appeal fund.
Please give what you can to this 50th anniversary memorial. You can do so online, by bank transfer or cheque. Just follow the instructions after you register or click here to donate immediately. THANK YOU.
